About Us

At the South Porcupine Food Bank, we are committed to fighting hunger and supporting our community. Through the dedication of our volunteers, donors, and partners, we ensure that individuals and families facing food insecurity have access to nutritious food and essential resources.

Who We Are

The South Porcupine Food Bank is a non-profit organization that has been serving the community for over 30 years. Run entirely by a dedicated team of approximately 35 volunteers, including a 9-member Board of Directors, we work together to ensure that those in need have access to food and essential resources. Our board members not only guide the organization but also actively participate in day-to-day operations, demonstrating our commitment to hands-on community support.

We believe that no one should have to go hungry, and we are committed to providing assistance with dignity, compassion, and respect. Through the generosity of local donors, we are able to provide one week’s worth of supplemental groceries to help those facing food insecurity in our community.
